The Baiting House Lodges
Need a break in the countryside? Our five Lodges are set in a 3 acre field with plenty of space to relax, for kids to run around or to walk the dog. You could spend an entire week just relaxing in your Lodge, in the hot tub or on your private patio, catering for yourself and enjoying a barbecue each night. But you can also choose to wander down to The Baiting House, just next door for amazing food and drink each evening. The choice is yours.
Just spent 4 days in the beautiful Herdwick lodge and ate each evening and Sunday lunch at The Baiting House a walk away. Absolutely outstanding on all counts, accommodation 5*, food 5*and all staff were fabulous. Can't wait to return, thank you all.

These aren't your typical rustic wooden lodges - they are contemporary with big glass doors to maximise light, and classic twists like leather armchairs and plaid cushions. They're built to the same standard as houses, with insulation and central that would put your average family home to shame.
The Lodges were winners of the Visit Herefordshire Tourism Awards 2017 in the self-catering category
Each Lodge is named after a breed of sheep, as they are situated in a field which housed sheep not too long ago (and our owners are keen sheep breeders!). They are: Clun, Herdwick, Radnor, Ronaldsay and Ryeland.
Each Lodge is equipped with a private bathroom with power shower and loo as well as a full kitchen (with fridge, oven, microwave and hob) allowing you to cook your own meals in the privacy of your Lodge. There's also a barbecue on the terrace so you can barbie your evening meal – and we can even supply all the ingredients on request!
The living room has a sofa bed (which can accommodate 2 children or two adults), armchairs, flat screen TV and a dining table for 4. The bedrooms have a king size bed with super-comfy mattress and Egyptian cotton bedding
Just home from a family week away. The lodges are absolutely beautiful and in such a peaceful setting. The welcome basket is a lovely touch and beautiful starry skies made it magical. The Baiting House pub is brilliant too. We enjoyed playing pool in The Clubhouse and the pizzas on the patio are among the best we've ever had. We would highly recommend.

On arrival you'll find milk in the fridge as well as tea and coffee. We can also provide a larger hamper filled with local produce to make your stay more enjoyable.
Each Lodge also has its own private hot tub, so you can luxuriate in comfort in the fresh air with a glass of something cold in hand...
No cars are permitted in the field where the Lodges are situated, to ensure that a peaceful atmosphere prevails. There's a dedicated car park for the lodges just next door. However a short walk is involved to get to your lodge, and some of the lodges are situated on a slope so please ask before booking if you have mobility issues.
